Standard Lease

The Standard Lease is an important part of protecting tenants and landlords and ensuring that everyone follows the rules permitted under the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA).

Any lease or rental agreement signed on or after April 30th, 2018 must be the Standard Lease. If your signed agreement is not the Standard Lease you may request one from your landlord in writing and they must provide one to you within 21 days of the request.
